Benefits of Sound Baths
You may have heard that our bodies are made up of about 60% water content. Sound has been found to have a profound effect on water, which many studies have shown. Most notably Dr. Emoto, who demonstrated how certain sounds create beautiful crystalline patterns while others generate distorted crystalline formations (see image below).
Further research into the effect of sound on water has revealed that each organ of our body vibrates at specific frequencies. Given this information, it doesn't come as a surprise that these vibrations have been shown to lower feelings of tension, anxiety, and depression. Additionally, low-frequency sound was effective in improving sleep and lessening pain in those with fibromyalgia.
Through the use of sound, we can relax our bodies and minds to move closer to a peaceful state of being.
